Tips within a reasonable card at The Meadows

While the lights shine on Wentworth Park tonight for the running of the Golden Easter Egg (featuring Victorian stars Slick Splits and Off The Chart), there’s a reasonable card at The Meadows for Victorian purists to enjoy.

BEST
Race 9, Aston Guitar (1)
Clear running has been hard to come by for him lately but it’ll be the first thing he’ll find tonight. He’s a big chance to lead this race and if he does the rest will have to produce better than career best performances to be any hope to beat him.

NEXT BEST
Race 5, Paw Carver (1)
While his own early speed is only moderate, there’s a lack of pressure in this race. Paw Querty (4) will lead uncontested, Paw Carver should be hunting up on the inside. Once he’s there, his engine is good enough to go on and win the race.

BEST VALUE
Race 8, Spring Miles (4)
It’s not easy for him to do, but a replication of his last start would definitely have him as a winning chance. He hasn’t been able to string together a good run of results lately, but he always performs honestly. At double figure odds it wouldn’t shock anyone if he punched above his weight.

WORTH THE RISK/TAKE ON
Race 6, Neo Devere (1)
This fella is hard to catch and I sense this speed map doesn’t suit him. There’s likely to be a few in this showing speed and crossing to the rail. If he’s not ahead of them, which I doubt he will be, he’s going to be in strife. At even money I suggest taking him on.

QUADDIE
Race 5: 1,4,6
Race 6: 3,4,6,8
Race 7: 1,2,3,6
Race 8: 1,2,3,4
