Stocktake is heading into next Saturday night’s Victoria Cup at Cranbourne undefeated in his last three starts, which includes victories in the Gippsland Distance heat and final at Warragul during the second leg of the Gippsland Carnival.
Following his Gippsland Distance win at Warragul, owner, trainer and breeder Gary Peach was excited with his star stayers performance in the biggest win of his training career.
Stocktake is a winner of 11 races from 36 starts, collecting $33,105 in prize money.
Saturday night Stocktake will face a feat like no other, when he lines up against one of Victoria’s best stayers – Burn One Down.
Burn One Down won the first heat of the Victoria Cup in a blistering time of 41.066sec for Jason Thompson.
Both Burn One Down and Stocktake received eight points each towards their tallies in the Gippsland Distance Champion leaderboard.
